The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor

The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (Urdu: پاكستان-چین اقتصادی راہداری, English: China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, CPEC) was introduced by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang in May 2013 in Pakistan . The original intention was to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in transport, energy and oceans between China and Pakistan, strengthen interconnection and mutual development of the two countries and promote common development between the two countries.
